Band Boosters

The Hackettstown Band Boosters Association is a non-profit organization, whose members are parents of currently enrolled band students. That means if you have a student in any of our ensembles YOU are a member!

So what does that mean? What do the Boosters do?

The purpose of this Organization is to act as an auxiliary unit of the Hackettstown High School bands in cooperation with the Director of Bands and the School Administration.

Our goal is to assist communication between parents and the Instrumental Music Department, to raise funds for scholarships, band camps, and equipment/supplies, as indicated, as well as help with anything else the band programs need. Those needs vary year to year, and season to season, but we often organize and provide: help with the pit crew, building props for shows, buying lunch for the students when needed, putting on end-of-season banquets, purchasing equipment, buying costumes, helping run hospitality tables at football games, and so much more. There’s room for everyone to volunteer in some capacity, and all are encouraged to help out just once, or on an ongoing basis!

Who are the officers?

The Band Boosters Board of Directors are parents of currently enrolled band students, that have been voted in to one of the five positions on the board. We organize the above, as well as hold monthly meetings to discuss budgeting, events, programs, and more! The Director of Bands is also a non-voting member of the Board of Directors by virtue of the position. He is a liaison between the school instrumental program and the Booster Organization.
